A Grave Hope

As the doctor looks into her file, he claimed 
‘she has a year to live’

Three years later
As things turned wary,
The doctor breaks it down and says
‘she has weeks/months left’

But this time around, 
As he stands there looking at his mom
With tears in her eyes, she asked
‘am I going to be alright’

As he felt the dagger dig deep
Into his heart, he said
‘everything’s gonna be alright’

Six months later
Sitting at her grave, he wails
‘you’re alright ma, you have all the time in the world now’
