Often,
After drowning in my own self-esteem,
I'd forget to breathe.
But then, I'd turn around
Just to witness myself
Stay afloat in her eyes
And swim across oceans.
The eyes that reminded me to breathe.
Often,
After being derailed in my own skepticism,
I would forget reality.
But then, I would just listen.
Just to witness myself
Dancing in her heart
And in the chaos of mine.
The heart that calmed the storm.
Often,
After being drenched in my own sorrows,
I would lose my wit.
But then, I would just strive.
Just to witness myself
Fighting against my insecurities,
Wading through my struggles
And riddling out life.
The mind that never gave up.
