The First Kiss

With fireworks all around,
The sky was lit up.
And he was standing there,
In the middle of the terrace,
Awaiting eagerly.

As he turned around, there she was
Dressed in a Saree, running towards him.
With crackers lighting up the sky,
He stood there in awe, of her beauty,
Having the world around him being dulled.

As he became numb to her liveliness,
With her quirking for not hugging her,
There he was slowly pulling her close.
And as their eyes locked on,
They leaned in to share their first kiss.

Now, as they stood there,
Their faces shined brighter than the sky
And their hearts pulsated louder than the fireworks.
